What a cop out.
“What’s meant to be will be.” This is what lazy, uninspired and/or fearful people say as an excuse to make themselves feel better about not pursuing the things they truly want.
This saying eases the butt-hurt feelings you feel when you have decided to not try or give up on your pursuits. It irks me to no end when I hear these words uttered after little efforts to futile attempts in one’s pursuits.
But what if I’ve tried and it hasn’t worked out for me, then the saying holds true.
Pfft! The heck it does not hold truth! Do you really want what you really want? If the answer is yes, then why are you stopping? You have that desire for a reason and the reason could be as simple as “just because it’s in you.”
We make too many excuses and cop outs; this adds to the problems of why there are so many unhappy, envious, bitter people aimlessly struggling on a seemingly pointless life journey.
Don’t be one of them. I hate to tell you what to do but ~shrugs~ I am anyway.
What will be is what YOU will it to be, and that takes commitment and action. I’m not here to tell you that it will be simple.
What was your wake up call to stop making excuses for yourself?
